    partition sd card

    hi guys i got a 8gb sd card and i would like to put to partition on it like make 2 of 4gb, how can i do it on win vista?

    Acronis Disk director will allow you partition an SD card...

    However this program is not free to buy and the trial version that you download from their site will not allow you to commit the changes.. But all is not lost as there is a version available on the Hiren Boot CD which can be downloaded here:


    The other versions that you trial or buy must be run in windows though.

    they can be downloaded from RS (see below), I have not tried these so virus check them and use them at your own risk (standard disclaimer)

      I don't have Vista (ptui!), but unless anything has changed, isn't it just a case of running disk management, selecting the disk and selecting delete then create partition?

        Not for flash media.
        Your not supposed to partition flash, it effectively 1/2's its lifespan, down to longwinded reasons regarding how information is stored and erase cycles.
