LITTLE TIP FOR LAPTOPS THAT DON'T CHARGE
Had a problem a few weeks ago with an old laptop not keeping its charge so did a little digging about and found a really simple little tip.
Apparently the static can build up on a battery of a laptop and stop it from charging up.
Was told that every so often when laptop switched off just to take out battery then reinsert later.
I do this with mine now say once a month when i goto bed and put it back in next time i need it and it solved problem.I know it not same problem as you had with bad connection but every little helps.Also every so often I let mine run off its own battery not mains till it gets down to about 15% left then plug into mains,this also extends the life of the battery.
