Hi Guys - Was hoping someone could advise
During the recent floods our Dell Optiplex 755 received about 2" of water while it was switched on.
I have enclosed a picture to show the damage. Nothing other than the bottom 2 " of of the motherboard was affected
I purchased a 2nd hand replacement motherboard but when i connect everything back up it wont boot
It doesnt make any noise and the display doesn't even flicker - it just remains black
When I plug the power lead in, the front light on the power switch flashes orange for 1/2 second then seems to power off before continuing in this loop , (flashes orange -powers off - powers on - flashes orange - powers off etc)
I have tried another power supply but it just does the same thing.
Is it likely that when the water entered it everything else just fried?
Is it worth trying anything else?
Thanks in advance
