    slow shutdown and corrupt error

    It takes ages for my PS window xp to shutdown and I get popup error saying corrupt c drive run chkdsk but I've tried that and same issues happening. Any ideas?

    If its still there do a factory default setting m8,back up what you need first and it restores to how it was when you first got it...................

      There are utilities from the hard drive makers that can check the drive, IE: Seatools from Seagate. you can make a disc or cd and boot from it. It will check the drive for errors. if it does'nt find any you may have a corrupt file somewhere, after backing up your important data you could try a windows repair if you have the original windows install. If not try the system restore mentioned above.
