It takes ages for my PS window xp to shutdown and I get popup error saying corrupt c drive run chkdsk but I've tried that and same issues happening. Any ideas?

If its still there do a factory default setting m8,back up what you need first and it restores to how it was when you first got it...................I know you believe you understand what you think i said

I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what i meant ! sigpic -
There are utilities from the hard drive makers that can check the drive, IE: Seatools from Seagate. you can make a disc or cd and boot from it. It will check the drive for errors. if it does'nt find any you may have a corrupt file somewhere, after backing up your important data you could try a windows repair if you have the original windows install. If not try the system restore mentioned above.Comment
