    Pioneer 115D - Burn Failure

I have been burning Xbox 360 backups for some time now. Recently I have been getting the following error:

Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity
    Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

Burning movies on regular DVD's is no problem. Only when trying to burn DL's is when this happens. FW is 1.18 and will be upgrading to 1.22 to see if this might make a difference. Running Windows XP SP2. All DVD's used in burning are Verbatims.

    Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    Love the site

Its could be the media, i know you are using verbs but every now an then a bad batch do appear.

I would try different media lie the aone plus (?5 for 10) Buy Aone Dual Layer DVD+R - 10 Pack? from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2008, 2007 & 2006 for laptops, desktops and computer hardware

If they fail, flash the firmware if not all ready done, again if that fails, replace the burner, they all under ?20 now from good pc shops and easy enough to fit.

Upgraded the firmware to 1.22 and still failed. Went ahead and ordered the Pioneer 117D Pioneer USA - DVD Burners which was a lil over $34.00 with S&H. Figured the amount of DVD's I burned in comparison to the $$ saved equaled me not complaining. Upside to this is I have found another site with useful information that is being kept up to date. Kudos all around.

      Thanks for the quick reply.
