dont fancy your chances m8...my old laptop had a little bit of juice spilt on it by the bairn, left it a few days to dry out and turned it on....booted up ok but wouldnt charge as the mobo was fried...so in the bin it went.

i would just take it to a pc repair shop and get them to take a look at it

If your any good at taking things apart, i would say take out the battery for a start this should be the 1st thing you take off & DONT turn the laptop on. the easier stuff to get to also take off without going in too deep into the laptop such as hard drive, dvd/cd drive. wipe away any visible liquid that is visible & in places you can get to like underneath the keyboard etc, be sure to remove your ram also.

once you have done this place the rest of your laptop in a warm place at home such as a Airing cupboard or something like that & leave it to dry for maybe a day or so.

if you can see your motherboard or other pcb (printed circuit board) etc study it closely & check for any green like residue on any of the connectors around the area where you spilt your drink or liquid over it. take a clean toothbrush and gentley rub over those area's to get rid of the green residue, (not using any liquid on this) just the toothbrush. it may help the contacts on your motherboard.

Put all your parts back into the laptop what you took out earlier on and give it a go by turning it on only with the battery connected & NOT the Mains! & see if it fires up.

      Good luck dude

Get some help or take it to a shop if your not that confident with fiddley parts, get a quote 1st as some places might have your eyes out on repair charges. & steer clear of PC world they are a nightmare & expensive! best bet would be to somewhere via recommendation.
