hi guys, just bought a vermin hub off the bay but seem to be unable to get it goin, been into settins but cannot see any probs in there, can anyone suggest anything to try even if i only manage to get modem goin that will do,,cheers..chris..

i'm not 100 % sure but i thought these would only work when it's registered to the original owner and not someone who gets it 2nd hand it can only be registered to original customer. -
hi thanx for relpy, dont know about that thought it could be sorted for ur own addy, there must be some way of changing something on the hub if only to use it as a modem....c

no coz i have a subbed hub from them this one i bought off the bay was to just sue as a modem in the bedroom...c

To get these working. You need to register the mac address with Virgin. So unless the MAC is active at your address then it wont work as a modem and im pretty sure there is no way of changing themsigpic

super hub no connection
I had same prob when I was with vermin. They sent out a new hub cause I upgraded and after a day or 2 of not working I rang them and they had to register the serial number on the hub with the MAC address. And the hub always belongs to them, after I finished my contract they pestered me for wks to pick it up haComment
