Assuming that you are connecting via USB, does it recognise other USB devices?

yes pc recognizes other usb peripherals

have you tried the drives in a xp pc and if so are they ok?
also does it ask for driver when in a vista pc?

Is there a switch like mine that flicks between e-sata or usb?

If fails connect internally and see if they are recongnised then
