only thing I can suggest is have you pushed them fully home as sometimes they need a good firm push to seat them, and is it possible to try different slots

What ram did you use m8.

        THE TRUTH
        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

If it is the correct memory, installed in the pc correctly then see if updates are avail for the mobo, if so update it.

if you think it will not load the o/s then you have got a stick of bad ram.

Hi I have just checked again it doesn't load up xp with just that ram in,so then I put the other one back in then it boots itself into safe mode saying that the cpu settings recently changed. Blah blah, butstill does not see/find it is it a bad stick then? Thnx m

so if it does not load with only your new stick then i would say it is bad, i would return it and tell them that your pc will not load the o/s and they should replace it!
