hi found this info on a bios update higher than mine but dont understand but mentions about unreported memory.however i dont understand the pdf info??? i have attached the info thnx mick

dude, you probably have shite chinese ram by the sounds of it... send the crap back and buy in this country that way when you have an issue its easy to get support and send it back... If you want to flash the bios with a later version which is what i would do when the there is a newer one do it, it will not harm your system just iron out some existing bugs and replace them with newer ones.. In previous machines i Have found that flashing the bios allowed me to run with more ram , faster cpus and bigger HDDs.. You have nothing to loose..

In the past I have bought ram for my old dell, i even took the chip to the shop to show them what i wanted, i still ended up doing three trips due to bad ram...
