Dell D830 bios password reset

I understand there may be some help available with my issue. I turned on my Dell Latitude D830 laptop earlier today and a black/white screen appeared saying I need a password to access the computer. It has never done this before, and I have never used passwords to access it. The message refers to #GJHFLD1-3A5B I believe the first letters are my Service Tag, but do not know what the last four characters represent. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

at present only Dell and paid service websites can do them
