    service pack 3 xp media centre

    hi,just installed service pack 3,,,,when i rebooted i get just a blank screen,,,,had to hold down start/stop to switch off and try to reboot,,,second attempt it rebooted fine but now im getting the blank screen 3 or 4 times before it will reboot,,,,i tried to restore but it wont let me
    not sure where to go from here
    any advice would be muh appreciated

      unfortunately one of the main ways to get around this is by disconnecting any non essential devices from you mianboard to allow you XP to boot with as little configuration as possible...

      on an occasion when you get into windows you should conisder using some kind of reg cleaner/fixer to sort out the crap you have in there...

          Do you get the blank screens when windows loading or when pc is switched on ?
