    CPU PROBLAM

    hi guys, need some help as I seem to have ****ed up my cpu, ok this is wot has happend, took out the cpu to give it a clean but now cant seem to get it to sit back down on mother board properly the little pins in on the under side of the cpu wont go back in the holes properly and so keep bending some of the pins, what I do then is carefully try to strighten them but still to no avail and comp wont boot, anybody got any idea's as to wot can be done to sort this mess out,? ps: wouldan't mind but the comp is only a couple of years old..cheers......chris...............

    You have probably narked the CPU now
    It fits one way and one way only
    Normally on the CPU there is 1 corner different 2 the rest both on the CPU and Motherboard
    Why did u remove it in the first place?
    You only needed to clean the top removing the Old paste
    Do u even have any more heatsink paste?
    Your best bet now is to buy a second hand CPU and u can do this buy typing the model of the CPU into EBay or something
