    MP3 Gaps

ok if i have i 1 continuous mp3 track of a mix album then can i add another file to tell the mp3 payer to add skips/chapters to the track like you do on note pad to add subtitles to video's

basically when i put single track mp3's to cd to play in a car stereo there is a pause to play the next track which u would not have an audio cd

No. Unless you're using it through a computer & software that can catalog the time for the start & end of each track.

MP3 players are dumb machines. They just play whatever is put in front of them, they don't think about it first.

I did wonder why someone would want a continuous track in the first place. Single tracks make it so much easier to play with.

i can do either but if u have the 1 continuous track then the mix sound rite

normal cd put tracks and take pauses out easy

so im thinking there must be somthing out there that can handle chapters on 1 continuous track by adding some data to the file of the track when burnt as a cd iso

        i dunno im stuck

If you are familiar with Audacity (free to download) then you can load each track separately and trim the fade out and intro to each song and when played again on vlc player the gap between each will be minimal.

That's as good as I ever got tracks to work with a nano second between each.

If you can seperate them yourself into track and then there are gaps of say 2 seconds, is this the short version?

If so, use nero. Open audio cd option. Load all tracks into the audio cd. Highlight them all. Goto properties. There is an option for pause between tracks. Set this to ZERO. Burn and then re-rip
