    computer wont turn on

    was on my computer this morning got a java update accepted it turned off my computer about half an hour later everything was fine

    my sister then turned on my computer onabout an hour later and the keyboard wouldnt work, i plugged in my wireless mouse and could turn it off turned it back on and now ive no screen any ideas whats wrong or what i can do

    switch everything off and recheck all connections first,how old is you monitor.

      its a compaq notebook just over 1 year old

      i disconnected the battery for a while and its done the trick thanks for the quick response though cheers

      was kinda panicking because i normally dont have any probs with it thanks anyway

        remove pc power cable and press the power button to reset power and plug back in and power on.

        pull out all connections except for basic vga (monitor cable) ps2 connectors (old keyboard,mouse) usb leave till windows has loaded sometimes they go buggy on loading and can freeze the system.

              yeah that post was not there when i came in must of came in and enter the post area roundabout same time haha and with the title saying computer and not laptop i assumed PC xD
