broken usb ports what card ?

my usb ports are broken, as i dropped my laptop..i see that my laptop has an ExpressCard Slot according to spec HERE so can i put in one of those cards in there that has a couple of USB 2.0 ports..seen a few on the bay but there are different sizes, can someone tell me which will fot my laptop slot?..and will usb 3.0 type work or is it only usb 2.0?..thanks

Express cards are the upgrade from PCMIA cards. These are 2 different types of bus interface and different sizes.

So Express Cards are just 1 size but offer different user end interfaces ie usb, sata etc.

USB 3 ports are backwards compatble to 2 or 1 etc.

If you buy from a reputable retailer and it does not work you could return the item.
