Pc has a delayed reaction

Hi ,not sure was has caused my pc to have a delayed action when selecting a program or even just opening a folder. I have run regcure and malwarebytes done a disk defrag and nothing seems to help , could it be one of the above programs causing the delay.Please any suggestions ?,thanks ,regards

have you ran task manager to see if there any programs running that you are not aware of using a lot of memory.
