adverts keep poppin up

hi i wondering if any one cud help me .? when ever i am browsin the web either on firefox or explorer ,after a while a internet exployer window/page cums on with a advert,different each time ,so far for nokia phones,datin site etc.i think i must have downloaded something dodgy... i recently downloaded some stuff off frostwire as well as downloadin a newer verison of frostwire itself.one download requested me to add a plug in to windows media player which i started to do but norton 360 advised me threats were present so i stopped..... i removed the ask toolbar which came with the download of frostwire(with somedifficulty ,had to do it about 4 times tryin diff thing s,it wouldnt allow me to do it sayin internet exployer was still runnin when it wasnt)..have done a scan with norton 360 n windows exployer and spybot and malwarebytes antivirus but no virus s or threats r cumin up and i have also tried to do a systems restore but it keeps failing/,,,i would be very grateful for any suggestions on how to get rid of these full page adverts

thanks m8 ur suggestion is greatly appreciated but before i got it, i ran a fully comprehensive scan on (free) malewarebyes durin the night and woke to find 3 trojan agents had been found.no action taken.so i ve removed them and put them in to quantine.hopefully this will sort the problem out.one of the most gallin aspect s of this,is i ve just renewed my norton 360 subscription for?35 and it s been completely useless.the advert even popped up while i was scannin with norton.i shud have known and gone somewhere else for anti virus becos when i had a virus last year.norton failed to deal with it and eventually myself with some good peeps off here and windows defender sorted it out.so if theres any one out thinkin of gettin anti virus protection,,,dont get norton 360 ,,it s crap!!!!!!!!! but again thanks for your speedy response cmon boro cmon boro cmon boro

yes malwarebytes and superantispyware are two of the best in my opinion

norton pure shite m8 i use avast which is free and i never get any probs with it, i also use A-SQUARED FREE from EMSI software as a stand alone anti-virus ( it is very good) as well as the obvious malwarebytes ( always update both before use)

i agree with smoggy and gmb45 there great and reliable software and norton is a piece of crap takes more cpu than viruses

might want to also get an IDS software like KIS 2009 or Symantec Endpoint 11
