i am looking for a quick fix to save emails from my outlook express to a folder ive named in my docs - is there such a way to do this easily?? answers in plain english please

if you go into options/advanced/maintenance/store folder it will tell which folder your messages are stored in and you can also change your storage folder.

this is in live mail outlook express is similar.

wow huge thanks. will this store all my emails even if my puter crashed etc. its happened before and i lost all my emails and it was a complete nightmare. i want to avoid this happening again and will save them to a mem stick and t/f to my netbook/portable hard drive for safekeeping etc/


can i access these saved messaged on netbook/portable hard drive??

if your storage folder is not on the same hd/partition as your o/s then then you will not lose them if your pc crashes, if for some unforeseen circumstance it does then if you have to reload your email prog you simply have to point in the direction of you storage folder.
