Epson R300 vista

has anyone got the cd print facility working on vista?, works on XP but not vista, it prints paper no problems, but when i go to print a cd it says close the cd/dvd guide door, i then do have to remove the cd carrier, close the guide door and then it starts printing it on the paper!

Right m8... if its the same as the r265... i had to turn it on in paper mode... wait for it finish loading ect... then swap it to disk mode... hope this helps.

l used to go into properties and then manual then pick dvd/cd in drop down box and then print

I just installed it on my dads laptop from the disk and it worked fine

yeah mine worked fine from disc aswell.its working good on windows 7 ok

I don't have the disks, i think that could be the problem,, the drivers are downloaded from epson. proberbly the older drivers work better with vista.

Thanks but as i said, iv tried the downloaded drivers from epson and it wont work to print onto disks, all i get is "close the cd/dvd guide door" and then it goes on to print the image onto paper. The computer isnt telling the printer to print onto a disk for some reason. Im using epson cd print software, it is set up in the printer properties to print onto cd, but keeps printing on paper instead. doin my head in. iv been reading on other forums and others have the same trouble with vista and the R300.

@yamar1 follow this link Direct CD/DVD Printing - Print Labels Directly on Blank Discs with Epson Printers - Epson America, Inc. and try some of these. I mislaid my software disk for a time and used the surething software... it printed on to the disks no probs. i know there were a few times i felt like throwing my printer out the window.

Update,, iv got the printer working now,, well sort ov. when i go to print a disk it takes the cd tray in as if to print it, goes all the way through the printer and then comes back out but wont print and says on the display "cd/dvd tray is not aligned" (something like that) even though it is aligned. prints perfect on paper HELP APPRECIATED!! dont want to buy a new one!
