    replacing post office modum with modumn wireless unit

    i am a novice at this. can any one tell me what i have to do to replace a post office netgear modum with a netgear modun and wireless sender unit so i can run a laptop wireless
    and still have a desk top connected

    You will need to obtain the username and password for the broadband connection from the router. Check for the access details to the modem on a sticker on the underside or maybe you already have them on a letter from the Post Office.
    I would recommend that you get the DG834G. The desktop can plug in directly and it ill also allow you wireless access. Follow the installation instructions on setting up the internet connection using the login details that you found above.
