2.5 hard drive beeping and clicking

    2.5 hard drive beeping and clicking

    took my 2.5 hard drive out of my old laptop to get all the data off at the screen on it has gone, i took the hard drive out as it has easy acesss from the bottom of the laptop. plugged it into my new laptop via a usb and sata power lead the drive starts to beep and click. so looked on youtbe for a fix and found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m5cil6KezI
    i did that what the video said but it still makes the noises

    any help on this

      Unfortunately the hard drive has got to is sell by date, it will die soon! so get anything on it that you want back it all up because when the clicking starts its only a matter of time.

        How can I get everything off as its not been recognised when connect with USB

              sounds like its dead to me you could try putting it in the freezer for a while in a sealed plastic bag and connect it while its cold you might get lucky...
