    newsbin problem

    wonder if any1 can help me.im using newsbin pro 5.42 and when im downloading theres the downloading speed in the bottom left.
    it reads 9.4mbps/1.2mbps.i know this means its running at 1.2mbps but can i improve it?if it says 9.4 surely i can get better than 1.2?
    sorry if im talkin crap i just wanted to know if theres anything daft i can do to make it quicker?

    Depends on your speed of your internet, if virgin 20mb service then your getting half, try increasing your connections upto 20 under server tab

      Think you might be getting your Bits and Bytes mixed up. The 1.2MB/s is Megabytes (MB) - the 9.4 is Megabits (Mb) - that's why the larger number is roughly 8 times higher than the original.

      What speed of connection have you signed up for? Also worth going to speedtest.net and doing a speed check to see whether it is your internet connection or your news server that is restricting the speed.

        Its supposed to be 10 mb from virgin.my newsbin becomes restricted after so long and the 9.4 changes to 2.3 and the 1.2 changes but cant think what to off top of my head
