If anyone could please help me out I would be eternally grateful. i bought a used dell latitude e 6440 from a friend of a friend. battery was dead and no charger, so didn't get to look at it much except externally. got it home and plugged into new charger and system wanted admin password so i did the safe mode and added me to the account and moved the original down. then, i added one more admin so i could delete the old one altogether. everything was working just fine allowing me to set the parameters for all other users. then, it said you need to restart for these changes to take effect. BIG MISTAKE!!!! comp shut down and popped up with full page of error messages for about 30 seconds. i saw a message about a partition and that the os was no longer on computer and something about a dummy os. i am not able to boot from internal hdd or usb and i dont have disk . i cant get into bios and the usb boot that i have says the device is not bootable or something or other. and cant change the boot order without admin password. then still screwed even if get code to bypass that because of some DUMMY OS. so anyways its :
