Hi, after updating to windows 10 home edition 64 bit on my laptop, Asus K55A, I now find. that only the wireless side is working and cant connect using Ethernet cable directly to router. any help would be much appreciated

There was a bug in updates concerning dhcp protocols.read the link in the post or try getting updates for the laptops in question

some more information would be of some help. is the computer getting an ip address from dhcp? have you tried setting a static ip address? windows 10 can be problematic with connection issues. first id try doing ipconfig in command prompt and if ist seeing gateway/getting an ip address do ipconfig /renew.
