    networking problems

    hi guys im having trouble with my network i have a desktop machine and a laptop both connected to a belkin router by cable i shared a drive on my desktop but when i try to access the drive with my laptop it doesnt let me into some folders i get a message up saying that its not accessable but i can get into other folders on the same drive

    have you set the folders to share in the propeties of each folder.

      yea but it comes up saying access denied

          using xp on both machines and the simple file sharing is disabled

              Yeah enable simple file sharing if you don't understand file sharing permissions, that's what's coursing you your problems..
