                you gave me the password for the bios , and my code was #GQFCQ3J-595B , and you sent me the password and it was :rm86ajf1 , and it is correct
                but after that , it gave me another code and ask me for the hard disk password .

                    I have an Inspiron 1720 with the same problem. Can the same info be generated using the service tag info#JBY9DF1-595B ? Any helP would be super great!!

                            tfmhon5h (5th is o for orange) is the correct code, but it will only work if it is the original HDD

                            EDIT all serials and passwords are case sensitive

                                this is the reply from someone else who had the same problem

                                The HDD I guess was an aftermarket one
                                but I got around that by removing the HDD from
                                the laptop once I was able to get in the BIOS and
                                remove the System PW. Then set the admin PW,
                                reinsert the HDD, go into the BIOS and select the
                                option to remove the HDD PW.
