how did you get first three letters for harddisk code.. because my hard shows first three letters as *.. i mean ***5NH0HD76-595B..

Hi, you should use killdisk to clear the hdd password

I have used killdisk and hirens bootable disk too.. but all of them shows that htere is no harddrive whereas on start every time it asks for hdd password..

in that case remove the hdd and connect it to another laptop that supports dual hdd (eg Hp pavillion DV9000).
search this on google: ' remove hdd password ' , go to the first website and download the utility to remove the hdd pass.
you can also use a rack to connect the hdd to another computer.
