HP DV6 1250SS WITH WINDOWS VISTA 32 BITS

    Hello friends.

I have following problem with the above mentioned laptop.
(I bought it a few weeks ago, it cames with windows vista 32 bits.
I wanted to install windows 7. but I didn?t make any recovery disk.)

After installating PARAGON PARTITION MANAGER and restarting the laptop in order to complete the partition of the hard disk (500gb) it took a long time.
I cancelled the partition of the space on the hard disk pressing the on/off button of the laptop.
Afterwards push again the on button and the laptop gaves me a error message on the black screen with the information that i have to put into de cd drive the recovery disc or another medium.

So the problem i have know, no laptop, i am writting yu right now from my pc on my office.

Maybe somebody can give me an idea how or who can solve this issue apart from HP.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks for it, but it makes no since, as these sotware is only valid into a memory stick if you made the security copy before you have problems wit your notebook.

The problem is i haven?t made any securty backup files in order to restore the notebook.

      Another idea?
      Thanks in advance.

how were you going to install windows 7? just do a clean installation of windows 7 if there's nothing on the hard disk you want to keep.

the only other option is something like Hiren's bootCD - this has lots of recovery tools/partition managers on but can be hard to figure out.

the other option is that on new laptops there is recovery software on a partion on your hard drive which when it boots you will see and access by pressing a certain key on my laptop you access by pressing F11 this normally takes it back to factory settings.
