help wit xp code

Hi all

Can somebody please help me - I am trying to install xp sp2 and its asking for a product key - I have put the key from back of laptop but it tells me "invalid" - can somebody please advise - thank you all in advance of replies. Mike

from what are you trying to install it.

is your laptop xp or vista coz u cant put vista code onto an xp mate . if you have any probs download last xp version 21 it has everything in plus key

hi all thanks for reply,the laptop is an old hp omnibook..and i got hold of a xp sp2 disk.it get so far then ask for product code. so i need a code,,,,i cant get on net on that laptop.....thanks

if you have xp already loaded just go to windows update it will check updates already loaded and go from there. if you were trying to load xp plus sp2 from disc on top of a pre loaded copy of xp then without the product code for that disc you will not be able to do it.
if you are trying to load it with a clean install you will need a copy of xp plus a key gen which you will find on the net or somebody on here might point you in the direction of.

if its a old laptop... the number on it is more than probley for xp before sp 2.... so will not work. for a legit copy of xp you try ask around your friends to see if any body has the orginal copy of xp pre sp2... and i'm betting the key on your lappy will work... then you have legit copy of xp installed.
i'm sure it will be out there to download some where.

I could Generate some serial numbers for you, but will need to know what version windows Xp you have, i.e:

Basic, Home, Retail, Corporate, Pro or OEM.

I have a windows xp first edition disk i uploaded it to megaupload for someone else, boot up from it use your code from your machine and it should install, it's never failed on a pre sp2 code yet, I will pm you the links for it if you want.

i use nero and or power iso, look for win xp pro essentials in torrents read feedback , this works, no need for keygen.
