However iPlayer stuff is DRM encoded so you'll first need to circumvent that, which will be less than straightforward.
from what i can gather theres a tool called FairUse4WM that will strip the drm out of iplayer files if you play them using a certain version of windows media player and delete a few files to reupdate the lisence.
Once the drm is stripped you'll need to figure out how to transcode wmv files (which are proprietary Microsoft tech) from the top of my head Virtual Dub 1.4a? c? used to do it the newer versions had it removed because microsoft threatened to pursue legal action...
So yeah, figure out what you need to do to run FairUse4WM
Get hold of a program to transcode wmv (ConvertXtoDVD might handle some versions of wmv)
