password given is the correct master password for BIOS
you have to type it in exactly as given (lower case)
also try Ctrl+Enter

smoggy, i am still facing problem, i had two laptops in my computer lab, both were toshiba, due to no display I replaced both of HDDs in Dell D520 that i have as replacement unit. But due to HDD password both laptops showing statement,
"the system primary HDD, is protected by a password authentication system, type correct hard drive password to unlock. so i need hard drive password.

1: Hard Disk #**40GIB7CLB
2: Hard Disk #B00LGCPJ8JA

I have a Dell d520 with locked bios. The # is 3F8W2B1-595B.

If anyone can help me unlock this it would be greatly appreciated. Also, how does one go about doing that?
