WinRar won't install

I can't seem to get WinRar to install. I keep getting a message that it couldn't install all the files, to close all programs, reboot the system and then try to install it again. I even did a system restore back several days when I knew that it worked and to the same results.
Just wondering if anyone else has same problem. Please note I am an ABSOLUTE NOOB when it comes to the technical side of things, so any instructions, please make them so simple that a 6 year old could understand.

I also have a program called 7-Zip that someone put on my system for me. I have been using it since WinRar went down and it seems pretty easy to use.

Google Izarc it's free and a good alternative to winzip, winrar

unistall winrar and just use 7zip.

thanks guys, will continue to use 7-Zip as it seems to be a rather easy program to use.
