    wireless problems

    I have a netgear router WGR614.

When i try to connect wirelessly with devices it reguarly wont allow connection.

For example, my iPhone and PS3 never have a problem, but my Laptops do.
Normally I can only have one laptop connected, it wont let any more connect..

It sometimes helps if i pull the power and reboot the router, but it reverts to the above after a while..

    My wireless settings are:

    Any ideas..?

can you flash the firmware in it using the built in option and see if there is a 'fixed' version available first...

Try seeing if there are any updates for your netgear router, this can iron connection problems and for wireless adapter on the laptop and try using either the windows connection manager and then the wirless adapter software as either might be having problems with the encryption and the hardware i had problems with a couple of Netgears and ibm thinkpads (intel adapters) :-(

thanks guys.. the firmware installed is higher than the one on the netgear site, after some reading up it seems to be VM specific firmware..

Managed to connect one device at a time then make the address's static over my LAN.. hopefully it may now work

Are you sure your going too the correct country site ( if its a u.k router - u.k site) this might be the reason your firmware version is higher, sounds like dhcp hasn't been turned on if your having too set up your i.p address's..you could always try a factory reset as well if you haven't tried....good luck
