my laptop wont charge

cud any1 tell me why my laptop wont charge it is plugged in but there is a blue flashing light and thats all it wont turn on and i dont know why please help as i need my computer for regular use thanks

take your battery out and try and start it on with the ac adpater plugged it etc...

i have tried all of that mate still no luck the adapter works defo but i just get this blue flashin light wen i plug it in my laptop and no response from the machine oh and thnks for the reply

the power jack is probably loose so it wont charge the battery and wont run from the mains. the blue flashing light indicaties that power entering is intermittant (because of the loose connection) hence it flahses on when poer reaches it and off when it stops. This is a common fault on laptops and the only way to sort it out is strip it down and resolder the power jack so it has a sweet connection.

i would say its busted mate... you can send it away to be fixed but if its got a few years on it then it probably worth binning... There are a few competent places that fix laptops properlyit just depends on whether you want to post via courier to a good one or take pot luck at your local places...

I've had the same problem, it turned out to be the cable of the charger...one of the leads was cut due to the twist of the cable over time

Ihad the same problem and it was a little condenser near the jack on the board

Problem coulld be the charger or the battery. Can you borrow a working battery and see if your PC turns on and the battery charges ?
