    panasonic toughbook

    Hello all!
I had a customer hand in a Panasonic Toughbook Laptop approx 7 months ago and never returned and wont answer mobile, therefore "finders keepers"! problem is that there is a BIOS password needed and im not familiar with this machine, Panasonic want ?300.00 to open it! "ripoff"! has anybody came across these?

Don't know about bios passwords that write too the chip, did panasonic tell you this?? check for a reset pin on the board or remove the battery for a few days and let the power drain see if that works..

Theres a program called KillCMOS. I haven't used it for ages so I don't know if it will work with modern laptops. You'll need a 3.5" floppy to boot it from then it will clear everything in CMOS, as the name suggests.

If the laptop is set to boot from hard disk 1st, which you'll find out if you try to boot from floppy, then you'll need to remove the hard disk to force it to boot from the floppy, as you obviously can't change the settings.

Let me know how you get on.

Better have it unlocked by Panasonic
replacing chip would make your harddisk useless as well
They are encrypted with Bios Algoritme
No other way to bypass ,
since these Toughbooks meet MIL(itary) standards
