Mcafee 8.7i problem

My Mcafee 8.7i anti virus software has adopted a problem, but I think this might be an old problem that has only just affected mine.

Mcafee VirusScan Enterprise is on but is reporting its status to Windows Security Center in a format that is no longer supported

is there ab update or other alternative to rectify the problem and is my computer protected or not.

would be greatful of any suitable advice

get the latest prog version from from the website uninstall your version and reinstall the new version if that does not work change your av there are plenty to choose from.
