i test all in bios and device manger and regedit

do you have a usb tester to make sure there 5 volts on there

it would be good to know what type of os system you got on the laptop.

go into control panel then device manager

right click the name at the top which will be your computer name -pc

scan for hardware change

it will do a scan and if the usb drivers are missing it will come up with the yellow error
possible try and reinstall them again.

download your drivers from hp

but what os system are you using windows or linux.

do you have 5 volts on the usb port check that out with a meter.

Chances are that if all ports are dead then you need to be looking elsewhere.

Reset bios so on

It wont hurt to reset it back to factory just to rule it out

Just make a note of HDD mode in bios or you might get no os detected fault
