    EPSON INKS (not Compatable)

Hi ive got an epson sx115 printer, the reason i bought this is that when my epson dx8500 was running out of ink all the time and that stuff is dearer than gold,i was quoated ?34 for ink and a new printer was ?39 with the ink ,i bought it and when i priced compatable ink cartages for it,i got the same problem as i did with the DX8500 THE PRINTER WONT RECOGNIZE THE CARTAGES ,even though the company Bu*T**H says that they garantee that they will work, is there any way round thiso i can keep the EPSON printers and use cheap inkAlso ive put XP Unatended41 BLACK on my PC as the operating system this is first class, but one wee small problem on some sites the search box is so minute you cant read it,any suggestions

ok, what you need to do is go through the ink changing process and put your original empty epson cartridges in your printer so it will recognise them as genuine epson cartridges. It will say they're empty but this isn't a problemed to printer to recoginse its got genuine cartridges so we can progress.

then you need to go through the ink changing process again. When the printer moves the cartridges into position ready for changing turnn the printer off by pulling the mains lead out the back. Don't press the off button as that will move the cartridges back then shut off.

After the power has completely drained (may take a few secs) take the original Epson empty cartridges out and replace them with the compatibles.

Exit the wizard BEFORE plugging the printer back in by cancelling everything. When you turn it back on the printer doesn't know that the cartridges have been changed so it doesn't check whether or not they're genuine. Check the status monitor and you'll have full inks.

Remember to always keep your empty original Epson cartridges incase someone tries changing the ink without you knowing and cocks everything up for you. Let me know how you get on.

do you still ave the original cartridges? If you do, do a normal ink change and put them in. The printer will recognise them as genuine Epsons but the status monitor will still say they're empty and need changing. Go back through the normal switching off process blah blah.

If you no longer have your original Epson cartridges then I'm afraid I know of no other way of progressing without the cartridges.

try this for cheaper 100% compatible cartridges. I've used them for a while for my HP C5180 and they've always worked and you get loads more ink.
