    Can't boot from external dvd

I have an old Windows 8.1 PC, which I forgot the login password. Then as suggested, I made a password reset disk. The weird thing is that the computer can't boot from it.

There are many reasons why your PC can not be booted from your password reset disk ,it could be wrong with your disk or BISO setting .
Anyway, i don't recommend making a passwors reset disk with DVD .Here's a simple way to replace it :https://www.tunesbro.com/reset-windows-8-password.html

You may have to choose your disc as boot device, F10/F12 usually. Or as suggested make a bootable USB stick in case booting from CD/DVD was disabled for security reasons.

There are better ways to reset the windows password, create hbcd usb and enable legacy boot, boot in and reset password
