i take it your talking about music tracks if so put the name of one of your tracks into the search box and let the pc search for it if you find one you will find the rest.

Hi, Yes done that but no good. I think this is a well known problem with so many "fixes" as a search with Google shows. Just looking for advice from a place I trust. Thanks for your time.

have you moved the file they are stored in, that can cause problems

I've not moved anything or used itunes for ages they have just gone. Apple know of the problem and say you should back up more.

click on music...click on the i tunes files ...go thro the folders to see if u can see them ,,,shud be either i tunes music or saved.....have a look in ur windows media player library too sometimes when u r puttin music in ur lappy u get a copy there too
