    Winrar to Disc

    Can any of you guys n gals tell me how many hours of video i can copy unto a 4.7gb disc. I have never used winrar before and i have 6 hours of video to be copied.

      are you looking to store it on a disk or to play it once its on the disk.

        The plan is to copy and play on ps3. I use the ixilsoft converter its a useful programme. I usually copy unto disc then delete the file. Hope that made sense.

          i can understand the conversion but where does winrar come into it.

            I shrink the files after conversion.I'm new to it. still trying to figure it out.

              if you compress your video file with winrar it will not play until you umcompress it, there are video compression software which will play the video after compression dvd2one or dvd shrink for example which will reduce the file to fit a dvd disc, but as you said in an earlier post you have a very large video file which you might get on a dual layer disc when edited and compressed.
