vga to rgb

hi all, got a pc purely to act as a nas/media server for my dreambox. quick q.
i have a vga to rgb cable. if i hook this up to my lcd tv, what resolution would i get? im guessing no higher than 480p. can anyone enlighten me?

read in your lcd manual or internet what the max resolution of your lcd screen is, thats the max you will get mate, set it higher and you will get a wonky picture most likley.
