pc feezing when converting avifiles

i have just reformated my pc now for sum unnow reason its freezing when imm converting avi file to dvd imm using convert x to dvd never had this before can do everythin else
all help gratefully recieved

when converting video you use a lot of processing power check to make sure there is nothing running in the background.

Please can you tell me what OS are you using?

all sorted now it was the processor

you have to check the CPU temperature when you are converting video files because if it increases too much you will have problems....
try RealTemp or CoreTemp, both of them are free!
