    windows activation?

    running windows xp
but lately keep getting a message when computer boots up

    Windows Activation Required.
Windows must be activated in order to determine if the Windows product key installed on this computer is genuine.

ive misplaced the key and is asking ?95 to activate.

any ways to fix the problem?

Hey there look in your system, write dxdiag in run line, if it says you are running an OEM version you are in trouble, otherwise just click on the activation, but there is an solution on the net, try to find and post it, it comes from Microsoft
