    yahoo search engine

    how do i get rid of the yahoo search engine it does my head in! all help will be appreciated but make it simple for me im not so great with a pc cheers!

      Do you mean as your Homepage, a toolbar or something else?

      More info is needed, screenshot if necessary.

          it keeps appearing when i do a search on firefox... comes up after u hit search

              Steps to remove Yahoo or any other Search Engine from Firefox / Flock:
              Step 1
              Firefox
              Go to [Installation Directory]\searchplugins

              Flock
              Go to [Installation Directory]\Flock\searchplugins

              Step 2
              Delete Yahoo.gif & Yahoo.src
              (Delete the corresponding files for removing any other search engine)

              Step 3
              Restart your browser

              Step 4
              Enjoy Yahoo free world!........ these were the instructions i got but i dont know how to do it?
