Laptop freezing and white screen appears

hi

if any 1 could give me some advice would be grateful.my sister has a dell laptop when it boots up its fine for a few minutes and then freezes and the background turns like a clear white and then you can not click on any thing you have to turn the power off,its been doing this for a few weeks now,she told me 1 off the kids dropped it,so could it have damaged the motherboard or something,is their any way to check,is their any programme i could try and run.thanks

First thing to try is the memory modules, make sure they are still seated properly. Failing that, you can try a new hard drive.

take the laptop apart check all the connections are fine i think its a hardware problem between the lcd or graphics card.

My advice is to carry that lappy in some service. It is most probably the hardware, like the pals already said. My opinion is graphic card or most probably during the fall the flat cable which connects monitor and other hardware is damaged.
