HP 8460p bios password

I have forgotten the bios password for my laptop HP 8460p. I know you can buy bios soic chip to replace the existing one.

Does anyone know what bios chip I need and the bin file to flash

Did you ever get it? Mazzif tool should work on your machine I know it does on the HP 8440P and HP 8560P. But I would like to get my hands on a copy of the HP tool they use to create SMC.bin files to unlock the newer ones. I forgot my boot up password on this zbook studio G3 but got lucky after I set aside for an hour I was able to recall it. I was hoping I could find the HP Tool on some of the Russian sites but no luck as of yet. But it is loose in the wild somewhere as I see it offered for $40.

I have a Probook x360 11 G1 EE that I tried to short the W25Q64FW bios but now just power light comes on and I think it is the F1 key that blinks.

But the tool that should work on your laptop is called HP BIOS PASSWORD Reset 04-11-16 by Mazzif. If yours gives a hash code after 3 failed attempts you should be good.
