Windows 7 64 bit installation help???

Hi guys, I have recently built a new pc and purchased windows 7 64bit oem installation disc! The problem I have is once past the bios screen and the DVD rom boots the disc it says "windows is loading files" and then shows an error message saying the file is corrupt or missing? This is a new build and has had no operating system on it before? Which is what is confusing me! Any help would be much appreciated!!!

    My system is:-
    asus m4a785m evo motherboard atx
    amd phenom 2 x4 quad core am3
ocz gold edition 2gb memory x2
    atapi DVD r/w rom
    seagate 500gb hdd
    jeantech 600w psi

thanks guys in advance for any help!

Hi again guys, have now tried xp and still cannot install? Loads all the way through to "setup is starting windows" then freezes? Not sure what this means? Going to try new memory but any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think you should check all the connection and reformat the harddisk, check memory, check power supply, make partitions. And try again.Good luck.
