    PC to LCD tv

    hello all
    i want to connect my pc to my tv with a hdmi cable from my pc to tv its hdmi to hdmi
    i cant get it to work
    anyone help

      have you set up the tv as an extra monitor? what OP system you running? vista? think if you right click on the desktop you can do 'personalize' then something like set up external monitor there.

          I have the same setup mate

          I got the desktop connected to the TV via HDMI

          once you have it connected to the TV you just need to go to the correct extension

          i.e if you had it connected via VGA cable then on your TV the mode will be listed as PC... and if it was RGB then it could be listed as EXT / AV etc etc

          Same goes with HDMI... switch to the correct EXT... in your case it would be HDMI of course.

          And you will see the display on screen.

          Note: you will need Phono cables for Sound connected from PC to TV.

              but i am still getting no signal
              my mother board has HDMi port built in (K9AG Neo2digital) and my graphics card is nvida 8500GT super+ 1 GB and has DVI port which say its compatible (old I know)but still good enough for me

              this is doing my nut in as i cant get it to reconise tv
              i have 4 HDMI slots on my tv (samsung)one of which HDMI/DVI

                  are you connecting the TV to your graphics card or motherboard? It will need to be connected to the graphics card to work. You can get DVI - HDMI leads, that's what I currently use

                      go to nvidia control panel and choose from there :
                      set up multiple display
